In the framework of the UNDP project “Capacity Building for Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM) in Uzbekistan”, the new web-site of the Designated National Authority for CDM was launched in Uzbekistan. The site is hosted on the internet-portal of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. (www.mineconomy.uz/cdm).

The primary aim of the creation of this Internet-resource is enhancement of community, national public and private companies’, as well as foreign partners’ awareness regarding the development opportunities and implementation of projects with involvement of CDM investments in Uzbekistan.

In the section "CDM in Uzbekistan" information relating to the activities of the National Authority on CDM, institutional structures of CDM, procedures of project approvals and existing legislative base is available.

In the section “Projects” besides portfolio of potential CDM projects, more detailed information about projects already approved by the Interagency Council is presented. 

In the section “Events and Workshops” materials of workshops dedicated to the issues of Clean Development Mechanism implementation in Uzbekistan in recent years are posted. Presentations are sorted by separate modules for convenient use.

The section “Documents” represents papers of the UN Executive Board on CDM, managing principles on development of technical documentation for full and small scale CDM projects, existing templates and approved methodologies. The section was added with a new page "Documents Approved by DNA Uzbekistan", which will provide for different documents approved by the Interagency Council of CDM and applied by DNA. 

Publications on Clean Development Mechanism prepared in the course of implementation of TACIS and UNDP projects in Uzbekistan are also presented in respective section.

The key national ministries and agencies, potential proponents of most CDM projects are listed in the section “Partners”.

The section “Contacts” provides for contact details of the DNA, as well as representatives of CDM working groups at the implementing ministries, agencies and companies.

Information on currently held biddings for selection of potential CDM investors, as well as structure and competition documents are available at the section “Bidding”.

The section “CDM in figures” includes CDM Statistics, diagrams of Registered CDM Projects by Scope and Expected Average Annual CERs by Host Countries, as well as Carbon Prices and CDM Market Comments.

The section Investors’ FAQ” presents the answers to questions frequently asked by interested CDM investors.

In addition, there are “Latest News” and “Useful Links” sections relevant to development and implementation of CDM projects.
