The validation stage has started for CDM projects “Reduction of natural gas leakage in gas distributive networks of low and middle pressure in Fergana valley” and “Reduction of natural gas leakage in gas distributive networks of low and middle pressure in Surkhandaya and Kashkadarya provinces”, which are implemented by SJSC “Uztransgaz” in cooperation with the companies “Masdar” (UAE) and Climate Change Capital (England).
Mitsubishi Corporation on behalf of SJSC Uzkimyosanoat, have launched a marketing of CERs to be generated from N20 Abatement Projects located in Uzbekistan (3 plants in Navoi, Chirchiq and Fergana). UNDP Project “Capacity Building for CDM in Uzbekistan” that was aimed at development of carbon finance in Uzbekistan, creation of proper infrastructure to implement CDM projects, and building capacity of national experts for preparation of technical, financial and legal documents on CDM, is now finalizing its 3-year activity.

JSC “Uztransgas” announced winners of the bidding on CDM investor selection for implementation of projects on reduction of gas leakage in gas distributive networks in 6 regions of the Republic (3 projects).
The bidding for investment project “Reduction of Gas Leakage in Gas Distributive Networks of Low and Middle Pressure in Surkhandarya and Kashkadarya regions” was won by Climate Change Capital company (Great Britain).
In connection with unsatisfactory performance of the second stage of the bidding on selection of an international investor for implementation of CDM project “Gas leakage reduction in gas distribution network of low and middle pressure in Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya, Bukhara, Navoi, Khorezm provinces and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3 projects)” the JSC ‘Uztransgas’ decided to re-advertise bidding for these projects.
The deadline for submission of bidding proposals is September 9th, 2009.
